My last post generated a few more interesting e-mails. First, a Marine left me a very thoughtful comment about the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program. He points out that even combat is governed by rules. Also, rules in a civilian setting are vastly different than those on the battlefield. Ergo, even the Corp addresses the appropriate use of force–dependent upon the setting!–as well as things like character development.
