About Riposte.org
...So I was checking out a couple of my favorite sites one day a few years ago (slashdot.org and linuxtoday.com) and the thought occured to me that I would really enjoy reading a martial arts site that did the same thing as those sites: point to articles and stories on the web that relate to a particular topic. It then followed that it would really be cool if I set it up myself....
Martial artists rely on a good arsenal to back them up. Here are the tools and resources I use to make this site happen.
Linux -- My development platformZope -- open source swiss army web publishing environment extraordinaire
python -- great scripting language
vim -- hardcore text editor. If it doesn't do what I need it to do, I can make it do what I need. That's power.
As you can see, I am into free software.
